Author Fee
To support a sustainable, high-quality, and timely publication process, Ephemeris Serena Populus et Doctrina (ESPD) applies publication fees at specific stages of manuscript processing.
The applicable fees are as follows:
- Peer Review Fee: USD 50 (payable after the manuscript passes the initial editorial screening and is sent for peer review).
- Copyediting Fee: USD 50 (payable after the manuscript has been accepted for publication and enters the copyediting and production stage).
- Publication Fee: USD 50 (payable prior to the final publication of the accepted article).
Accordingly, the total publication cost is USD 150 for accepted manuscripts.
The fees cover the costs associated with:
- Editorial management and manuscript handling;
- Double-blind peer review administration;
- Professional copyediting and language editing;
- Layout editing and typesetting;
- DOI registration;
- Online publication;
- Long-term digital archiving and indexing support.
Please note that payment of the Peer Review Fee does not guarantee acceptance for publication. All manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of their scholarly merit, originality, methodological rigor, academic significance, and compliance with the journal's editorial and ethical standards through an independent double-blind peer review process.
The Copyediting Fee and Publication Fee are charged only for manuscripts that have been formally accepted by the Editorial Board.
Authors will receive detailed payment instructions from the Editorial Office after reaching the respective stage of the editorial process. All publication fees are non-refundable once the corresponding editorial or production process has commenced.
By implementing a transparent fee policy, Ephemeris Serena Populus et Doctrina (ESPD) aims to ensure the sustainability of its publishing operations while maintaining rigorous editorial standards, professional production quality, and unrestricted global access to high-quality scholarship in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and education.
